Job Description:
Job DescriptionSalary: DOEThis position is responsible for
analyzing complex financial records, reports, oversee multiple
company's accounting operations, regulate and authenticate
financial transactions, and maintain a ledger to ensure
effectiveness and accuracy of all accounting tasks, the ability to
balance accounts using the verified bank statements on behalf of
the client's companies. You will need experience using different
electronic accounting systems and to work with small-to-large sized
companies, in which some of these companies have accounting
departments and some do not. Posses sound analytical and advanced
skills using Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and QuickBooks.
Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures, including preparing
month-end reports, bachelor's degree in accounting, business or
extensive experience in the accounting field is required.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
- Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by
compiling electronic data and required documentation
- Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including
legal requirements, and interpret new and existing legislation
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations
to all work to ensure compliance with applicable standard
- Involvement in business registration, tax compliance and
creating, distributing, and reporting tax datasheets
- Five years' experience working with intercompany transactions
and reconciliation in preparation of financial statements. Also be
able summarize and prepare financial status and transactions
reports, including a profit and loss statement, and other necessary
reports
- Perform payroll functions in an accurate and timely manner, and
submit payroll taxes
- Conduct reconciliation of all accounts on an as needed
basis
- Maintain and balance the general ledger in an accurate,
complete, and up-to-date manner
- Perform all activities related to the accounts payable function
including reviewing, coding, and processing payments
- Perform account receivable functions including invoicing,
deposits, collections, and revenue recognition
- Working knowledge of tax compliance as it pertains to state and
federal level regulations
- Demonstrated ability to work in a leadership roleRequirements
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, QuickBooks, and other
applications related to finance and accounting
- Must be an outstanding communicator, and have established
skills in accuracy, organization, and working in a high-volume
environment
- Demonstrated ability to support all other departments within
the firm
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related 5
years accounting job experience
- 4-5 years relevant experience working in
accounting/bookkeeping
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of GAAP
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- 4-5 years' experience with bank reconciliations, accounts
payable, accounts receivable, payroll, journal entry adjustments,
financial statements preparation, and general ledger
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
