Job Description:
Overview The YV Scholar Liaison will be responsible for the
implementation, maintenance and expansion of the mentor program
including recruitment, training, and placement of employee mentors
in all programs; will provide communication with employee mentors
and staff members regarding relevant updates within each
region/state, the tracking and managing of documentation of mentor
activities; and assist with special projects and events to provide
support to the National YV Scholar Coordinator and Program Manager.
Serve as a liaison to other Youth Villages programs that support
and align with the scholar program. Responsibilities ESSENTIAL
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may
be assigned.--- Recruits employees to serve as mentors, interviews,
screens and matches employee mentors--- Lead orientation/training
for employee mentors--- Maintains waiting list for scholars in need
of mentors--- Loads mentors and scholars in Sales Force; tracks and
records activities of mentors/scholars--- Conducts workshops to
provide continuing training for mentors--- Communicates regularly
with mentors and scholars to evaluate needs for the program;
provides quarterly and annual mentor appreciation to all employee
volunteers--- Conducts ongoing assessment of employee mentors and
mentor program through participant surveys; works with research and
National Scholar Coordinator in creating outcome reports---
Complies with standards set by the National Mentor Partnerships
Elements of Effective Practice--- Develops plan to recruit new
mentors for each program and manages red flags related to match---
Maintains communication and coordination with appropriate Youth
Villages' staff in order to evaluate mentor and scholar needs and
performance--- Makes presentations to civic groups to promote
scholar program--- Track, record and manage scholar community
service hours, GPA's and monthly budget submission--- Lead and
support orientation for scholars in each region/state; order
materials and supplies for orientation including laptops--- Will
assist Scholar National Coordinator in managing and tracking
scholar action plans--- Will work with finance to oversee
distribution of scholar stipends--- Provide briefing on the scholar
program to all new and existing LSS and scholars--- Serve as an
ambassador to other Youth Villages programs including but not
limited to finance, performance improvement, Marcom, research, IT,
and Business Planning Policy--- Will create and manage outcome
reports including program challenges and winsCovid-19 Vaccine

Qualifications A Bachelor's degree is required. Masters level is
preferred.At least 1 year leading or managing a program or
departmentA minimum of 6 months experience recruiting and managing
volunteers is required.Experience in CRM software "Salesforce" is
preferred, basic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office
required.
