Job Description Job Description Qualifications: High School
Diploma or GED equivalent required. Minimum of three (3) years of
full-time experience in skilled labor or trades, with increasing
responsibility. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in building
maintenance is required. Preferred certification in electrical or
plumbing. Valid Drivers License. Candidates must be able to attend
scheduled interviews as part of the selection process. Essential
Duties and Responsibilities: These are not exclusive or
all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Performs
a variety of carpentry tasks in the construction and maintenance of
buildings. Installs and repairs electrical outlets, circuits,
switches, fans, and lighting fixtures. Installs and repairs
plumbing fixtures, water and drainage lines, and sewage disposal
fields and plants. Paints and decorates interiors and exteriors of
buildings. Makes repairs and adjustments to laundry, heating,
refrigeration, and air conditioning units. Operates and utilizes a
wide variety of tools and equipment such as assorted hand tools,
table saws, skill saws, hand drills, drill presses, pipe cutters,
pipe threaders, welding torches, cutting torches, and voltage
testers. May operate a pick-up truck or other vehicle in getting to
and from the job. Follows safety protocols and uses personal
protective equipment as necessary. Performs grounds, custodial,
and/or security duties as required by supervisor. May keep simple
records and make routine reports such as time expended, and
materials used. May provide training to other staff as necessary.
The applicant selected for this position must complete full
background checks including fingerprinting. Background checks will
be completed through TBI, FBI, DCS, TN Registry of Sexual
Offenders, and TN Registry of Abuse
