The persons in this position will maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and co-workers by patrolling, monitoring premises, and performing search procedures.Shifts include: 3rd Shift (7 pm - 6 am)Hourly starting wage: $30/hour. *Must Have A Valid Armed License* Prosegur offers a whole suite of benefit options. Responsibilities: • Remain alert, avoid distractions, and observe all activity around the post • Give the alarm and assist in response to a fire or the emergency • Patrol a designated area on foot or in a vehicle • Enforce company and client policies • Observe, report, and document violations of policy by notifying the Shift Lieutenant or Control Dispatch • Respond to incidents • Protect everyone and everything within the limits and duties of the post • One will only use reasonable force, up to and including lethal force, when necessary to protect life • Observe, report, and prevent incidents by providing a physical presence • Officers will remain on the post and wait until they have a face-to-face relief • Provide assistance to customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner • Monitor for irregular or unusual activity • Secure facility and designated areas • Enforce facility and company policies and procedures • Investigate and prepare reports on incidents Qualifications: • Ability to stand or walk for long periods • Must be able to pass a driving skills test and Physical Ability Assessment • Possess basic computer skills and communication skills • Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior • High school diploma or GED equivalent • 21 years old or older Additional Requirements: Armed Security Officers must pass the following requirements and comply with Prosegur, client, and State Law Rules and Regulations. • New York State Unrestricted License to Carry Pistol • NYS Armed Security Guard License • Law Enforcement and/or Military background preferred • Armed Security Officer Training Requalification (with the exception of “Exempt” Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS Department of Licensing): • 8 Hour NRA Basic Pistol Safety Course (non-firing) as required by Westchester County, New York • 47-Hour Firearms Training Course: o 7 Hours of classroom instruction on NYS Penal Law (Article 35) o 40 Hours of range training to include qualification Annual In-Service Training and Requalification (with the exception of “Exempt” Armed Officers not required to take the course due to status according to NYS Division of Criminal Justice and NYS Department of Licensing): • 8 Hours of annual, in-service security training • 8 Hours of annual, in-service firearms training • 3 Hours of classroom instruction on the Use of Force • 5 Hours of range training with weapon qualification • Defense Tactic Training: 4 Hours of Baton / ASP Tactical Training Education Requirements (All) High School Diploma Certification Requirements (All) Armed Security License Additional Information / Benefits Prosegur is an equal opportunity employer and values diversity and inclusion at our company.
