Job Description - Open Rank Professor - Pediatric Ophthalmologist, Memphis (220000025T) Open Rank Professor - Pediatric Ophthalmologist, Memphis - 220000025T There is immediate opportunity to engage in a busy clinical practice in an established longstanding department. In addition to providing excellence in patient care, ample opportunities exist to develop independent and collaborative research and innovative education models in a diverse academic clinical department. Salary, rank and tenure status will be commensurate with credentials and experience. -Duties will include delivering excellent patient care, teaching of residents at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center and VA Medical System, on-call coverage, and opportunities for clinical research. Qualifications Minimum requirements include completion of an approved residency program as well as postgraduate fellowship training in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus. Board certification or eligibility, and eligibility for licensure to practice medicine in Tennessee are prerequisites. Preferred Qualifications, in addition to clinical expertise, include a strong commitment to teaching, resident training, and research as well as participation in academic activities. Experience in pediatric ophthalmology and strabismus is required. Incumbent will be credentialed as medical staff to provide patient care services within Le Bonheur Children's Hospital and affiliated locations.
