Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Bachelor's or Master's degree in
Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. An opportunity is available for experienced Special
Education Teachers to support diverse K-12 students primarily in
self-contained classrooms. Two onsite openings are located near
Grand Blanc, Lansing, and Detroit areas, with a contract duration
from approximately March 2, 2026, through June 12, 2026.
Responsibilities: Manage caseloads of up to 22 students, focusing
on self-contained or resource room settings Provide specialized
instruction aligned with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with varied
disabilities Collaborate with school staff and families to support
student development Demonstrate knowledge of Michigan
Administrative Rules for Special Education (MARSE) and IDEA federal
regulations Utilize appropriate resources and strategies for urban
student populations Qualifications: Michigan Teaching Certificate
with Learning Disabilities endorsement required; preference for
Emotional Impairment (EI) and Cognitively Impaired (CI)
endorsements or Michigan Department of Education endorsement ZA
(Early Childhood) plus one other special education area Experience
working in urban school settings is strongly preferred Ability to
handle caseloads involving Early Learning (pre-K and up) or K-12
students Strong understanding of special education laws,
regulations, and best practices University transcripts required
prior to placement consideration Comfortable participating in
remote interviews Work Schedule & Location: Full-time, 35 hours per
week Onsite positions located near Grand Blanc, Lansing, and
