efficient and compliantPRIMARY PURPOSE: To oversee the company's
best practices and to ensure product quality and regulatory
standards compliance by line-of-business, create customized client
processes and procedures for new and existing clients and to
provide training on technical components for new and existing
colleagues.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES* Reviews,
researches, analyzes and establishes the company's best practices
for specific line-of-business programs; and ensure best practices,
claims management service standards, state regulations and client
service requirements are implemented across the company base,
including across relevant corporate functions.* Maintains complete
understanding of new program design, processes, client expectations
and partner relationships; makes recommendations for improvements;
and develops best practices for operational processes.* Assists
operations in implementing new processes, procedures and new
program implementations including workflow development, plan matrix
for programming, and development of customized documents.* Assists
in pricing of disability and absence prospects; assists in
development and delivery of organizational service expectations.*
Analyzes management reports related to program performance and
quality and works closely with quality team to identify trends and
areas of improvement; works with IT as disability business
process/program subject matter expert.* Plays key role in
maintaining client relationships, attends prospect and client site
visits as needed, and represents company with specified industry
groups.* Leads the development and delivery of organizational
service expectations.* As subject matter expert, works with
Sedgwick University to build and deliver training content on
technical processes and requirements; leads training initiatives
for colleagues, supervisors/managers and clients as needed.* As a
high level operations resource, assists in the evaluation of
complex claim decisions and plays a key role in influencing
appropriate technical operational outcomes for the
line-of-business.ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES*
Performs other duties as assigned.* Supports the organization's
quality program(s).* Travels as required.SUPERVISORY
RESPONSIBILITIES* Administers company personnel policies in all
areas and follows company staffing standards and training
recommendations.* Interviews, hires and establishes colleague
performance development plans; conducts colleague performance
discussions.* Provides support, guidance, leadership and motivation
to promote maximum performance.QUALIFICATIONSEducation & Licensing*
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
preferred. Experience* Ten (10) years of related experience or
equivalent combination of education and experience required to
include five (5) years related to the line of business. Skills &
Knowledge* Solid knowledge of disability, case management or
casualty processes and regulations* Knowledge of case management
procedures and services* Excellent oral and written communication,
including presentation skills* PC literate, including Microsoft
Office products* Leadership/management/motivational skills*
Analytical and interpretive skills* Strong organizational skills*
Excellent interpersonal skills* Excellent negotiation skills*
Ability to work in a team environment* Ability to travel up to 70%*
