VP of Sales (North America)

Job Description:

Position Summary:
The Vice President of Sales, reporting to uLab's Chief Commercial Officer, is responsible for the direction and management of all sales operations, including market competitiveness, sales compensation, distribution, and channel strategy. The VP of Sales will drive the company's achievement of its customer acquisition and revenue goals. This role can be based anywhere in the United States but must be near an airport.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage and drive all aspects of sales operation including but not limited to defining and executing the sales strategies for North America and, as appropriate, contribute to global sales strategies.
Hire, develop, and retain a salesforce that is driven to achieve and exceed sales goals.
Establish compensation, training, and sales incentive programs.
Develop, establish, and direct channel and distribution strategies and programs.
Develop and implement strategies to continuously expand customer base and drive same store sales.
Manage overall sales process execution and set appropriate metrics for sales funnel management.
Establish and maintain key customer relationships
Develop rapport with key opinion leaders, clinicians, and associations.
Be a mentor who inspires the organization toward excellence and provides support, accountability, challenge and professional growth for the team and peers.
Work closely with the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and other senior leaders to develop appropriate commercial and product roadmaps, corporate strategies, and other initiatives to achieve outstanding market success
Work closely with senior management to align priorities and create a sense of urgency to ensure successful endpoints are achieved and timelines are met.

Education / Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field required.
Master's degree preferred.

Skills / Experience:
- 12 years progressively responsible sales experience required. Experience in dental/orthodontic or other medical device preferred. Minimum 5 years in a senior sales leadership required.
- Outstanding consultative selling abilities and excellent interpersonal skills with executive level customers and partners.
- Proven sales track record in a new product/new market environment.
- Established contacts and relationships with potential customers and channel partners highly desirable
- Understand and show competency in mitigating risks in all aspects while in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and work well with peers.
- Consistent career history in strong, effective leadership and team building that clearly demonstrates success in similar roles.
- Have a demonstrated ability to work with, hold accountable and motivate a highly experienced and capable sales team to achieve desired goals.
- Have proven negotiation skills to maximize value in negotiating with outside partners.
- Effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Reputation as a sales leader with high integrity, sound character, a tremendous work ethic and the passion to succeed.
