role:Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), the
Regional SE Medical Director will be responsible for the assigned
regional area and incompliance with all applicable medical
standards, state and federal rules and regulations.Additional
Details: Admin. Clinical position for oversight of locations within
the Northeastern U.S. Travel throughout and residence in the
Northeast U.S. Required. Leadership and clinical experience within
correctional healthcare preferred. What you bring to the
table:Education:Graduate from accredited medical
schoolExperience:Minimum one (1) year of experiencePrevious
correctional/detention facility experience
preferredLicenses/Certifications:Unrestricted current medical
license with no restrictions must maintain all certifications,
educational requirements, licensing, etc.Current Drug Enforcement
Agency (DEA) registrationCurrent (and must maintain) lifesaving BLS
certification through AHACurrent (and must maintain) security
clearanceWhat you will do:Responsible for success of health care
program facilities including performance of clinical staffMonitor
services provided by non-physician providers within the detention
facilities to include:o Quality of medical recordso Pharmaceutical
practiceso Implementation and adherence to Policy and Procedures as
well as Standardized ProceduresConsult with PA/FNPs and RNs on all
conditions falling outside standardized procedure parametersPerform
sick call and physical examinations as scheduledReview and
countersign records of patients seen and treated by RNs (under
nursing procedures)Countersign all verbal and telephone
ordersParticipate in Quality Management, P& T and Peer Review
meetingsMonitor hospitalized patients in collaboration with Case
Management to assure timely return to the detention
facilitiesAttend Quality Assurance and/or MAC and other
Administrative meetingsProvide coverage on an as needed basis,
approximately 20%Responsible for the performance evaluations and
successful training of direct reportsPerform other duties as
