Description: The responsibilities of this position require working at a beverage company in the analytical laboratory and the packaging laboratory located on the factory floor. This position is a 3rd shift 6pm-6am following a 2-2-3 schedule. All training is done on 1st shift 6am-2pm, but a candidate might be required to fill in for first shift. Additionally, a candidate needs to be available to work overtime on occasion. Employee Value Proposition (EVP) Upward mobility, they believe in promoting from within. The director and manager of the QA department both started as a QA lab tech. One can have the opportunity to switch to first shift within the first year as well if one desires to do so. Package Lab testing Package Fills; Air and CO2 Secure Seal Test Wilkens-Anderson (WACO) equipment for double seam full teardowns and evaluation Eklund-Harrison Pasteurization Units monitoring Anton Paar 35N Hand held density meters Biotrace ATP luminometers to monitor microbial contamination pH meters Mettler-Toledo Digital Refractometer Analytical lab testing Anton Paar Alcolyzer and DMA 4500 density meter for beverage analysis Mettler-Toledo Digital Refractometer: BRIX and Refractive index Schimadzu 1201 UV-Vis spectrometer Sigrist Process LabScat Photo/Haze meter Metrohm DPM750 autotitrator Perkin-Elmer GC Agilent HPLC Micro Lab testing Total plate count Yeast and mold count Water plating CIP Validation / Sanitation monitoring Yeast Management Other QA Functions Sensory Evaluation Retain Sample Library Analytical and Packaging Data Reporting Document Retention GMP / HAACP, Food Safety, Plant audits Sanitation Program Management GMP and HACCP program Management Top Skills: HPLC, GC, Chemistry, Biology, Laboratory skills, Titration, Microbiology, pH testing, etc. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor s Degree in chemistry or related science field (biology, natural science, etc.) including completion of lab coursework About Actalent: Actalent connects passion with purpose.
