Come grow with us!nThe role of theGraduatennNurse LPN/RN position is to provide basic resident care in a manner conducive to the comfort and safety of residents, as well as give direct nursing care to residents. Typical daily tasks include:n* Direct the day-to-day functions of nursing assistant and other staff being supervisedn* Give direct nursing care to residentsn* Visit all assigned residents at regular intervals during tour of dutyn* Supervise feeding of residents as necessaryn* Notify physician/physician assistant/nurse practitioner when residents condition warrantsn* Perform administrative duties, such as documenting of: * Nurses notesn* Assessmentsn* Physician/Nurse Practitioner/ Physicians Assistant ordersn* Discharge plansn* Dietary changesn* Reportsn* Miscellaneous forms, charts, etc.nnnn* Chart pertinent facts and information in a professional, clear and comprehensive mannern* Admit, transfer and discharge resident according to policyn* Recognize and respond to changes in residents conditions and document observations, interventions and outcomesn* Order from pharmacy, prepare, administer and document medications and treatments as ordered by physician/nurse practitioner/physicians assistantn* Ensure that physician/physician assistant/nurse practitioner sign off on all verbal orders and document processn* Conduct and/or monitor prescribed treatments, such as dressing changes, drawing of blood, catheter changes, NG tube insertion and removal, laboratory work, etc.nnn* Give and receive condition report from the on-coming and off-going shiftn* Perform emergency procedures, such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and in the event of death, notify family and appropriate other partiesn* Recognize, intervene, report and document accidents and incidents when they occurn* Monitor and update care plans on each shift as appropriaten* Supervise and participate in fire safety and other disaster drills and be prepared to carry out duties in the event on an actual eventn* Recognize, intervene and/or report complaints and grievances from residents, families, visitors and employeesn* Monitor the facility for possible health and safety hazardsn* Maintain privacy and confidentiality of records, conditions and other information relating to residents, employees and facilityn* Follow the established universal precautions and isolation proceduresn* Update daily census report and submit as requiredn* Attend and participate in orientation programs, on-going training and educational classesn* Check inventory and request equipment, supplies, etc.nnn* Assist in updates of written policies and procedures of routine nursing caren* Participate in surveys made by authorized government agenciesn* Monitor and participate in daily clean-up of the nurses stationn* Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisornREQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: n* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing for Licensed Practical Nursesn* Current State of Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse (See exception below) * Exception: employed as a Graduate Nurse until successful completion of the State board per Governors Executive order No.nn28, dated April 17, 2020, amending Executive Order No.nn26, paragraph 7.nn16.nnIf unsuccessful with State board, employee becomes ineligible for LPN Nurse position.nnnnORn* Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing for Registered Nursesn* Current State of Tennessee Licensed Practical Nurse (See exception below) * Exception: employed as a Graduate Nurse until successful completion of the State board per Governors Executive order No.nn28, dated April 17, 2020, amending Executive Order No.nn26, paragraph 7.nn16.nnIf unsuccessful with State board, employee becomes ineligible for RN Nurse position.nn * Current CPR Certificationn * nOTHER REQUIREMENTSn* Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including possible overtime, shift changes and weekendsn* Job will require frequent lifting of objects up to 50 poundsn * Some travel requirednSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESn* Supervises support staff including training, scheduling and assigning work;nreviewing performance and recommending salary increases, promotions or discharges;nand assisting in problem-solving for staff issuesn * SIGN-ON BONUS TERMSn* Full Time Onlyn* The Sign-On Bonus terms will begin when Current, Valid State Nurse License is obtainedn* Paid out over 3 months @ $2,000 after completion of 30 days of employment, 60 days of employment, and 90 days of employment.nnn* New Employees only current employees and rehires are not eligiblennEQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYERnOur Organization does not discriminate based on race, color, religion, sex, handicap, disability, age, marital status, sexual orientation, national origin, veteran status, or any other characteristic(s) protected by federal, state, and local laws.nnThe Organization will also make reasonable accommodations for qualified individuals with disabilities should a request for an accommodation be made.nnnnLicenses &nCertificationsRequired * CPR Certificationn* Licensed Practical Nursenby Jobble
