Job Description:

Summary
Provides the cancer patient with cancer services including: support at diagnosis, patient education, coordination of care during diagnosis and nutritional counseling. Offers support groups for patients, families, and significant others. Coordinates appropriate referrals and markets services to community. Performs other duties as assigned.
Responsibilities

  Initiates patient contact upon obtaining referral from physicians.

  Coordinates access to services and education for the cancer patient.
  
  
• 
  Participates in activities to improve health care delivery.
  
  
• 
  Provides patient, family, and/or staff teaching/education.

  Coordinates marketing of cancer services.
  
  
• 
  Provides leadership.
  
  
• 
  Participates in ongoing educational activities.
  
  
• 
  Completes assigned goals.
  
  
  Requirements, Preferences and Experience
  Education
  Minimum: BSN required
  Experience
  Minimum: 3 years clinical nursing practice in oncology or equivalent nursing experience required.
  Licensure, Registration, Certification
  Minimum: RN
  Special Skills
  Minimum: Broad knowledge of community services, health concepts and adult education.
