This position also includes on-call responsibilities for the provision of medical care outside of regular business hours. The physician must ensure timely and accurate documentation of all assessments and treatment decisions.Key Responsibilities:Performs physical exams, orders diagnostic tests and provides medical treatments to patients throughout their hospital stay, including after-hours on-call coverage.Coordinates with other medical staff to ensure accurate and thorough documentation of all assessments and provides clinical oversight of ARNPs.Makes referrals for tests and consultations, monitors ongoing care of medical conditions, and provides education on medical diagnoses to patients and their families.Collaborates effectively with staff from other disciplines and is knowledgeable about the care and treatment needs of patients of different ages.Adheres to company Code of Conduct Standards and understands and complies with special precautions, disaster and fire safety procedures, and abuse reporting.Qualifications & Requirements:EducationMedical doctorate (MD) from an accredited university.ExperienceTwo (2) years post residency clinical experience in an inpatient setting, psychiatric experience preferred.Licenses/CertificationsLicensed in the state of employment.Current Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) and applicable certifications.Board certified or eligible in internal or family medicine.We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer:We are committed to fostering, cultivating, and preserving a culture of uniqueness.We celebrate a variety of backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.We encourage you to apply!
