Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVOR - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 07/14/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 10 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse - CVOR Location: Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital 7691 Poplar Ave, Germantown, TN 38138 Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) to join our team at Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience, a strong clinical background, and be flexible to adapt to the scheduling needs of the unit. Position Details: - Job Duration: 13 weeks - Number of Positions: 1 - Start Date: 07/14/2025 (ASAP) Shift & Schedule: - Shift: Primarily Day shift, 4x10-Hour shifts (07:00 AM - 05:00 PM) - Alternate Shifts: 5x8-hour shifts may be considered based on manager’s needs during interview - Call Requirement: Yes, as needed - Weekend Requirement: As needed - Block Schedule: Not available - Locals Accepted: No, candidates must reside at least 100 miles from facility - Pending License: Not accepted; all travelers must be in compliance with NLC guidelines at time of submission Job Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to patients in the Cardiovascular Operating Room setting, assisting with surgical procedures and patient monitoring. - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care. - Maintain compliance with hospital policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols. - Document patient care accurately and timely using electronic charting systems (Cerner preferred). - Respond promptly to emergencies and assist with patient transport as necessary. - Support the operating room team by preparing equipment, supplies, and the environment for surgical procedures. - Participate in continuous education and professional development opportunities. Qualifications & Requirements: - Education: ADN acceptable; BSN preferred - Licensure: Active RN license in Tennessee or Compact License required - Experience: - Minimum of 2 years CVOR nursing experience required - First-time travelers are not accepted unless they have 3 years recent experience - Certifications: Current BLS certification required; additional CVOR-related certifications preferred - Travel Experience: At least one completed previous travel assignment preferred - Skills: Strong clinical skills in cardiovascular nursing; Cerner experience preferred Facility Information: - Patient Population: Cardiovascular surgical patients - Equipment: Advanced surgical equipment and monitoring technology - Environment: Operating room with a focus on cardiovascular cases, requiring strict adherence to sterile and safety protocols Must live at least 100 miles from the facility.
