Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN with Level IV NICU experience and an active compact or TN license for a night shift Neonatal ICU assignment. Responsibilities - Work in a NICU within a children's hospital setting - Level IV NICU caring for critically ill neonates, including attendance at deliveries for neonatal resuscitation - Night shift position with three 12-hour shifts per week - Weekend shifts required as needed - Floating may occur between like units and nearby campuses within a 20-mile radius, but is rare - Cerner EMR experience is preferred - Responsibilities include care of well and critically ill neonates and attendance at deliveries as the neonatal resuscitation nurse - Must be willing to work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays if they fall within the assignment (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's), or 1 of 2 if only two occur - Time off requests must be submitted prior to offer; late submissions will not be approved - Travelers previously employed at the facility must be separated for at least one year before return eligibility - First-time travelers are accepted only with at least 3 years of NICU experience - RNs should expect occasional floating to similar units Requirements - Active TN or compact RN license in hand (no pending licenses accepted) - Minimum 2 years of recent Level IV NICU experience required - At least 1 previous completed travel assignment required - BSN preferred, ADN accepted unless otherwise specified - Must live at least 100 miles from the facility; locals are not accepted - Current BLS certification required - Vaccination status must be up to date Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-610737.
