Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 12/15/2025 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 3x12 night shifts for 36 hours per week • Patient ratio of 1:6/7 utilizing team nursing model • Care for adult and geriatric patients with general medical-surgical diagnoses • On-call and weekend coverage as needed • Daily census of 46 patients in 48-bed unit • Minimum 2 years recent medical-surgical experience required (3 years preferred) • Level I Trauma experience required • Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted • Large hospital experience required • Must live at least 100 miles from facility (locals not accepted) • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Required skills: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, IV starts and maintenance, telemetry • Active RN license or compact license required • Cerner experience preferred • ADN acceptable (BSN not required) • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions • Must be willing to work holidays as scheduled • Floating between like units and campuses within 20 miles may occur rarely • Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams Facility: This healthcare facility is a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center providing comprehensive medical services to the community.
