Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: CVPICU - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pediatric Cardiovascular ICU (CVPICU) position requiring a compact or TN license and significant pediatric ICU experience. Responsibilities - Position is in the Pediatric Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVPICU) at a children's hospital - Work in a Level I Pediatric Trauma Center - Night shift schedule with three 12-hour shifts per week (19:00–07:00) - Cares for pediatric cardiac and critically ill patients - Floating to like units or campuses within 20 miles may be required, though rare - Weekend shifts required as needed - Cerner EMR system is used; experience is preferred - Holiday coverage required; must be willing to work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's fall during assignment, or 1 of 2 if only two fall during assignment - Former employees must have a separation of at least one year before being eligible to return as a traveler - All time off requests must be disclosed at the time of application; changes will not be honored after offer - BSN is preferred for this position - Cerner EMR experience is preferred but not required - Assignment is not open to local candidates Requirements - Active TN or compact RN license required at time of consideration - Minimum of 2 years PICU or pediatric CVICU nursing experience required - At least one completed previous travel assignment required; first-time travelers only considered with 3 years recent peds experience - BLS certification required - No pending licenses accepted; must comply with NLC guidelines - Local candidates within 100 miles are not eligible Benefits - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-667153.
