Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg / Telemetry - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical / Telemetry (Travel) Facility: Methodist Le Bonheur Germantown Hospital 7691 Poplar Ave Germantown, TN Short-Term Acute Care Hospital Assignment Details - Start Date: 02/23/2026 (ASAP) - Contract Length: 13 weeks - Positions Available: 3 - Shift: Day shift, 3x12s (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) - Block Scheduling: Not approved (weekend block may be considered) - Weekends: As needed - On-Call: As needed - Locals: Not accepted (must live 100 miles from facility) Unit - 3 Pavilion - Unit Type: Med-Surg / Telemetry, overflow and observation unit Patient Population - Age Groups: Adults, Geriatrics - Daily Census: Approx. 42 - Beds/Rooms: 42 - Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: - Days/Nights/Weekends: 1:5–6 (may reach 1:6–7) Position Overview The Registered Nurse – MS/Tele provides comprehensive nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced medical-surgical and telemetry environment. This unit supports medical oncology, post-surgical, observation, and overflow patients while emphasizing teamwork and patient-centered care. Key Responsibilities - Provide safe and effective nursing care to Med-Surg and Telemetry patients - Perform continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring and rhythm recognition - Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders - Perform IV starts and routine bedside procedures - Monitor patient condition and escalate care as clinically indicated - Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient recovery - Accurately document patient care in the electronic medical record - Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans Required Qualifications - Active RN license (Compact or Tennessee) at time of submission - Minimum 2 years of recent Med-Surg experience - At least 1 year of prior travel experience required - First-time travelers not accepted - Current BLS certification - NIHSS required - Med-Surg and Telemetry competency required - Must meet all Tier 2 travel compliance requirements - Driver's license required at time of submission - Ability to work required holidays per facility policy Preferred Qualifications - Telemetry experience - Cerner EMR experience - Experience in team-nursing or high-volume Med-Surg environments Education - ADN or BSN accepted HonorVet Technologies Job ID 31717982.
