coordinates the planning, implementation, and evaluation of
pharmacy services in designated area of practice. Delivers
pharmaceutical care through the provision of drug information and
provides education and services that foster the safe and effective
delivery of drugs and drug therapy to patients. Models appropriate

consistent thriving for excellence. A Brief Overview The Pharmacy
Coordinator coordinates the planning, implementation, and
evaluation of pharmacy services in designated area of practice.
Delivers pharmaceutical care through the provision of drug
information and provides education and services that foster the
safe and effective delivery of drugs and drug therapy to patients.

and Values. What you will do - Coordinates planning, implementing,
and evaluating pharmacy services in the area of practice. -
Promotes professional practice and accountability for optimal
outcomes and continued improvement within the pharmacy scope of
practice. - Advises physicians, healthcare staff, students, and
patients in the safe administration of medication. - Supports and
participates in drug research and medication use evaluation. -
Follows established procedures for medication safety, ensures
compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards,
compliance activities, and policies and procedures. - Processes
orders and prescriptions to provide medications and pharmaceutical
supplies ordered by physicians and authorized medical
practitioners. - Provides consultative services and clinical
expertise to evaluate and improve medication usage and therapeutic
outcomes. - Performs other job functions as assigned or requested
Education/Formal Training Requirements - Required - Bachelor's
Degree Pharmacy - Preferred - Doctorate Pharmacy Work Experience
Requirements - Required - No prior work experience Licenses and
Certifications Requirements - Required - Pharmacist Tennessee -
Tennessee Board of Pharmacy - Preferred - Pharmacist Mississippi -
Mississippi Board of Pharmacy - Preferred - Board Certified
Pharmacotherapy - Board of Pharmacy Specialties Knowledge, Skills
and Abilities - Knowledge of pharmacy principles and procedures. -
Demonstrates knowledge of current literature and its application to
patient specific problems. Thorough knowledge of current
regulations related to pharmacy practice. - Ability to communicate
both orally and written with all levels of associates, management,
physicians, and patients and their families. - Ability to plan and
schedule tasks and projects to enhance patient care. - Skill in
developing and implementing short-range and long-range plans and
programs. - Ability to work without close supervision or
professional guidance and exercise independent judgment. -
Understands and interprets complex written materials and technical
reports. - Demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities and
work effectively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team. -
Ability to work with information systems, automated and technical
pharmacy equipment. - Demonstrates the ability to lead others.
Supervision Provided by this Position - May direct and guide the
activities of pharmacy technicians, students, and/or residents in
the assigned work area. Physical Demands - The physical activities
of this position may include climbing, pushing, standing, hearing,
walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive
motion. - Must have good balance and coordination. - The physical
requirements of this position are: medium work - exerting up to 50
lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 25 lbs. of force
frequently. - The Associate is required to have close visual acuity
including color, depth perception, and field of vision to perform
an activity, such as assessing patients, preparing and analyzing
data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or
extensive reading. - Frequent invasive and non-invasive patient
contact. - Exposure to patient body fluids as well as exposure to
hazardous or poisonous materials. - Ability to react quickly to
emergency situations including on-call availability. Our Associates
