Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 48-hour weekly schedule on night shifts • Patient ratio of 1:6-7 with team nursing support from PCC and additional RNs • Provide care for adult and geriatric patients on 48-bed medical surgical unit with cardiac focus • Handle patients with CHF, AMI, post cath lab, pacemaker placements, and ablations • Verify rhythm strips, manage drips at set rates, and titrate heparin per protocol • Weekend coverage required as needed • On-call shifts as needed • Must have 2 years recent medical surgical experience (3 years preferred) • Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted unless 3 years recent experience • Level I Trauma Center experience required • Large hospital experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Epic charting system experience preferred • Skills include MS/Tele, Med/Surg, and IV start • Must live at least 100 miles from facility (strict local rule) • Active RN license required (compact license accepted) • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions • May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles • Must work 1-2 holidays if they fall during assignment period Facility: This major healthcare facility operates as a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive emergency and specialized medical services.
