Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 48 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: RN - Med Surg Job Details: • Work 4x12 hour day shifts (48 hours per week) • Patient ratio 1:7 with team nursing support from PCC, LPN, and other staff • On-call and weekend coverage as needed • Must have 2 years recent medical surgical experience (3 years preferred) • Level I Trauma experience required • Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted • Large hospital experience required • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS • Required skills: Telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, starting and maintaining IVs • Care for adult and geriatric patients with general medical surgical diagnoses • 48-bed unit with daily census of 46 patients • Self-scheduling system • May float between like units and campuses within 20 miles • Must work 2 of 3 holidays if Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years fall during assignment • Must live at least 100 miles from facility • Active RN license or compact license required • Cerner experience preferred • Flu vaccine required with no exemptions Facility: This major healthcare facility operates as a short-term acute care hospital and Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive emergency and critical care services to the community.
