Health to find a qualified Med/Surg / Tele RN in Memphis,
Tennessee, 38104! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing
Specialty: Medical Surgical/Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of
experience required. License: Active RN license in the state or
compact license required. Certifications: BLS, NIHSS required.
Must-Have: - Medical Surgical Oncology experience required. - Level
I Trauma experience required. - Travel experience required. - Large
hospital experience required. Description: This position requires a
registered nurse specializing in medical surgical and telemetry.
The unit primarily serves surgical oncology patients with overflow
for medical oncology and medical-surgical. The typical patient
ratio is 5-6 patients per nurse. Candidates must have experience
with central lines including PAC, PICC lines, and midlines. Wound
care, drain management, ostomy care, and Foley catheter management
are part of the responsibilities. Nurses will administer
chemotherapy but only if qualified. A limited amount of phlebotomy
coverage is available during night shifts. Nurses must be prepared
to work weekends and holidays as needed. This facility experiences
a daily census of 30-35 patients and has a total of 45 beds.
Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory
services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, lift
teams, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
Candidates will be expected to float between similar units within
designated campuses as required. All requirements must be met for
submission consideration. Please ensure all relevant certifications
