Job Description:
Responsibilities for Mental Health Tech: * Assist clinical team
in the general activities of the program. * Orient new individuals
into the program by reviewing the schedule and ensuring their needs
are met, when appropriate * Provide direct care and supervision to
individuals receiving services. * Facilitate recreational
activities, including board games, movies, cards, etc. * Help
ensure a safe living environment for all residents, to include
cleaning and other housekeeping duties as requested. * Assist with
management of unstructured time. * Help enforce program schedule
and program rules. * Maintain accurate and up to date records on
assigned individuals, such as behavior reports. * Supervise and
assist residents with daily living skills as needed. * Wash linens
and fill all hygiene boxes. * Ensure orientation packets are
available for all new individuals coming in for treatment. * Assist
staff in the admission process * Fill in for other staff as needed
and assigned by the Coordinator. * Man facility phone service and
handle referral of all emergency calls to appropriate Communicare
crisis staff. * Provide administrative assistance when requested
such as scanning documents and filing them into the chart in the
EHR, making copies, etc. * Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: * High school diploma or equivalent. * Good oral
and written communication skills. * Acceptable criminal background
