Job DescriptionMonitor and provide primary departmental emergency and non-emergency telephone and radio communications.Provide primary monitoring of intrusion alarms, fire alarms, temperature alarms and surveillance equipment.Complete Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Monthly Fire Alarm Activation Log, Wrecker/Tow Log, Lost & Found Logs, Building Overtime Reports, and implement Emergency Notification Systems as necessary.Minimum QualificationsUnderstanding of emergency dispatching and the role of a public safety departmentA general understanding of computers, moderate to advanced typing/data entry skillsPolished telephone communication skills, interpersonal and leadership skillsProven ability to multitask within a fast paced environmentThis position requires you to work a rotating shift including nights, weekends and holidays as scheduled and the ability and availability to work mandatory overtime assignments as required by department needs
