Position: Systems Administrator Status: Salaried/full-time permanent position (no remote option) Location: Memphis, TN Job Description: The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing support to the client and its partners by providing direct services in the installation, use, upgrade, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of physical and virtual computer systems and all ancillary subsystems. Responsibilities: User management, system monitoring through applications and log files, and modifying filesystems as needed in support of various teams throughout the company. Patching and upgrading server systems, OS and hardware, where a regular part of my job description. Also responsible for almost six hundred Redhat 6/7 Linux Virtual machines in support of the applications team. Responsible for servers all during the development cycle, Development, Stage, RC, and Production. These responsibilities for the application lifecycle included insulation of software upgrades as well as the maintenance of middleware layers, JBoss, Tomcat, Apache, and several others. Deploying patches and upgrades to the in-house developed applications and streamlined the documentation process. Eliminating many redundant and unnecessary steps of the process. This decreased the deployment process in each step and greatly reduced mistakes in the process. Responsible for purchasing and deployment of SSL Certs on Big IP F5 systems. Responsibilities for the F5 didn't' end with SSL Certs. Was required to completely replace a failed F5 unit with zero down time. Also responsible for deploying new virtual servers, pools, and irules in both development and production environments. Responsible for operations and health of UCS environment, MDS, Brocade, FI's, blades Designs, installs, upgrades, configures, and repairs local and remote Server systems and hardware for client and its business partners. Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves systems problems. Evaluates, tests, and recommends appropriate technology and system architecture best suited for client. Installs / tests client's approved software and/or upgrades. Coordinate development and maintenance of client's system(s) infrastructure. Prepare and submit Change Control Forms as required. Manage server volumes by ensuring sufficient disk space, verifying permissions and maintaining file ownership and managing storage quotas. Delivers second tier problem support and resolution within specified service delivery commitments. Ensure the integrity and security of enterprise data on host computers, multiple databases, and during data transfer in accordance with business needs, client's configuration standards and industry best practices regarding privacy, security, and regulatory compliance Act as member of a ticket queue system to address and resolve day-today support requests Provide 24x7 on call support. Job Requirements: Minimum 6-8 years of experience in IT as Windows Sys Admin Windows Desktop and Server Operating Systems DHS DHCP VMware 6x VMware Horizon View/VDI Microsoft Active Directory Microsoft Exchange and Proofpoint eMail Filtering Microsoft Office 365 Microsoft Azure Microsoft SQL Cisco UCS EMC VNX, Unity and Data Domain storage & MDS storage switching F5 LTM and GTM At least one of the following certifications is preferred: MCSE, EMC, Linux (Red Hat) Education: College degree in the field of computer science and/or equivalent in work experience.
