Job Title: Senior Director, Asia 3PL Operations

Location: Europe

Division: Global Operations (Capri)

Reporting to: SVP, Global Operations

Who You Are:

The Senior Director of Distribution Operations is responsible for orchestrating the relationship with 3PLs within Asia that support Capri Limited Holdings. The role reports into the Senior Vice President Global Operations - and owns task setting, prioritization and overall focus on responsibilities within Capri Facilities as well as the dedicated Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Versace Facilities across Asia. The position serves as the lead sponsor and escalation point between the center-led global operations function and the regional/in-country leadership teams and the account management team within the global 3PL service provider.

What You'll Do:

  • Maintain alignment with Brand leadership (Michael Kors, Jimmy Choo and Versace) of needs required within the Asia supply chain.
  • Set out, establish and oversee the logistics strategy and best practices for the Asia 3PL operations that enable the physical distribution of products as well as the administrative control and information flow. Own and lead the innovation and continuous improvement agenda for Contract Warehousing
  • Facilitate an environment for the identification of best practices for warehousing and logistics execution that may be standardized at a global level and uniformly applied at a regional level for the physical distribution of products encompassing warehousing and local distribution.
  • Senior sponsor for partnerships and sourcing programs with Asia 3PLs that can be used by the business to deliver outsourced services for warehousing and logistics needs.
  • Implementation of a global 3PL segmentation strategy for the business setting out the approach for how the business defines its 3PL relationship with each provider.
  • Definition and deployment of a 3PL relationship framework including how the organization identifies, selects, contracts and develops long-term relationships with global 3PL partners. Leading the selection and assessment process with the engagement of regional logistics functions and other key business stakeholders.
  • Working in conjunction with procurement to agree the best commercial proposition from the global 3PL partner including identifying opportunities for service excellence, continuous improvement and the application of innovation.
  • Maintaining a benchmarking and ongoing assessment process for global 3PL partners. This includes reviewing new and innovative service providers that maybe of interest to the organization on a global level without necessarily launching a formal selection process.
  • Managing local 3PL contract managers and ensuring the delivery of a comprehensive 3PL engagement & performance plan for each provider.
  • Set out a succession and development plan for the entire logistics organization that encourages investment in skills, the evolution of capabilities and harvesting of the right competencies and talent for the function.

Deliverables:

  • Define the warehousing strategy for the regional and global functions that is aligned with the overall supply chain strategy. Set out and ensure the function exceeds key operational, service, financial and compliance metrics.
  • Governance of the global 3PL warehousing functions, including the availability of analyst and support resources, logistics expenditure and budget allocation.
  • Standardized approach towards Global Sustainability with support of the regional 3PL providers.
  • Identify on an annual basis new efficiencies and customer service improvements through innovative approaches to processes with the use of Brand ERPs, Jimmy Choo WMS solution and 3PL WMS solution, consolidating shipping strategies across the brands and operational improvements
  • Monitoring of globally applied KPIs as well as additional KPIs that measure and track regional logistics performance. This should include the performance of individual in-country logistics functions as well as third-party logistics suppliers to measure performance and drive continuous improvement.
  • A documented and implemented relationship development strategy for the Capri global 3PL warehousing providers within each of the respective regions
  • Set of KPIs that capture, measure and report on the service delivery and financial performance achieved by each regional 3PL warehousing providers. These KPIs should be standardized at a global level with some customization for regional variances.
  • A 3PL relationship development plan for each global 3PL service provider encompassing a continuous improvement and innovation framework as well as investment expectation on both sides, roadmap for implementation and timeline for completion.

You'll Need to Have:

  • Extensive, proven experience facilitating the modeling of supply chain flow solutions within either a manufacturing or distribution environment
  • Post graduate degree in Supply Chain, Engineering or Math
  • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma or other Process Improvement Methodology
  • Demonstrated proficiency in project management and process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience managing global resources,
  • Extensive knowledge and experience with managing complex channel analytics from concept to successful implementation
  • Proficient in: Microsoft Office Suite including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word and Visio.
  • Advanced Skills in: Mini-Tab, Access, SQL, Visual Basic Skills for Data Acquisition and Analysis
