Responsible for advancing the company's eCommerce business and the SEO program by leading and executing strategies in the specialized area of Local SEO & Analytics SEO. Responsible for optimizing company's websites for Google, Bing and Yahoo and other search engines through organic search, for both B2C, B2B and Mexico websites, and other international sites to be added as growth indicates. Successful candidates will have demonstrated experience working on a large-scale B2C (preferably multi-channel retail with attribution to DIY store sales) and/or B2B web site or agency equivalence with international exposure and coordination with third party SEM.


  • Responsible for the strategic development and management of new and existing initiatives that will drive traffic, conversion, revenue growth and profitability within the SEO program.
  • Work closely with IT, Marketing, Merchandising and other process managers on the SEO and SEM teams.
  • Lead and prioritize optimization efforts to drive search metrics and rankings using Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Manage Third party relationships and efforts that support Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Take the lead on key initiatives and projects for the organization across IT, Marketing and Merchandising in respect to Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Leverage prior and new SEO knowledge to enhance projects that drive solutions for real world problems using Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Manage relationships across the organization in partnership with IT to enhance Local SEO & Analytics SEO at AutoZone
  • Create synergies between Content, Technical, and Link development strategies to increase performance of the overall SEO program
  • Responsible for consulting and contributing to the company's global SEO presence with a focus on Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Leverage Google Console to understand and take tactical action to maintain and improve SEO rankings with Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Identify Local SEO & Analytics SEO Opportunities to improve rankings
  • Measure and analyze impact of existing functionality
  • Identify opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to the customer by leveraging Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Build strong internal relationships and improve organizational knowledge of Local SEO & Analytics SEO
  • Work closely with Store Operations to identify opportunities and drive execution to resolve
  • Work closely with website analysts to understand the impact of all SEO activities and to understand hurdle rates for new activities
  • Identify opportunities for improving the customer experience and work with the web development team to implement Local SEO & Analytics SEO projects
  • Stay abreast of changes in the Local SEO & Analytics SEO space to best serve the objectives of the organization and adjusts plans accordingly
  • Partner with Paid Digital teams to enhance search and drive sales
  • Partner with and develop process and reports to ensure accuracy of data and its presentations
  • Participate with the business on use case situations to enhance catalog presentations and solutions
  • Partner with the AutoZone Content and Catalog teams in developing processes that ensure SEO value and optimizations


  • Minimum of 5 years SEO experience in a multi-channel retail environment
  • Strong Project Management and leadership skills
  • Expertise with Google Search Console, Adobe Analytics, Yext, and preferably, React, Wordpress, and Endeca
  • Ahrefs, SEMrush, SimilarWeb, comScore
  • Managing third party relationships with vendors and SEO agencies
  • Team management experience a plus
  • B2B and B2C experience
  • Other Required Skills:

  • Ability to understand and leverage technology for customer experience and sales growth
  • Ability to work and communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to relay strategic direction, goals and tactics to external organizations

  • Execute effectively by using resources efficiently, meeting deadlines, and keeping others informed of work plans and progress toward goals
  • Business case analysis, planning, project management, and presentation skills
