Job Description:

Description: The Material Coordinator is responsible for the day to day, railcars ordering and release, inventory tracking, supply ordering and general plant administrative work. The Material Coordinator will interact and assist employees, customers, and visitors. Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Manage walk-in traffic, understanding the needs of the visitor and follow company policies in handling requests. Employee uniform service liaison Employee liaison with different vendors as needed Liaison for plant to Corporate Sourcing Team to provide resolution and guidance to any Raw Material Purchase Order inquiries or updates Data entry to include Goods Receipts, SAP Requisitions, SAP Process Order creation, SAP COGI reconciliation, SAP Inventory count processing, Rail Road Tracking and other plant tracking as needed. Package Material Count Sheet weekly inventory reconciliation Daily BURA package production tracking Attend weekly BURA package production scheduling meeting Check in of BURA package flatbed loads and communicate with CSR as needed to resolve any issues/needs that arise MRP database input management Daily input of Sales tracking for Marathon terminal partner Marathon terminal partner Month End inventory reconciliation for cross charging processing Backup for monthly raw material/finish goods inventory count and reconciliation Order/Purchase plant, office, safety, and maintenance equipment/supplies as needed Maintain plant back-up tapes Comply with all plant rules Participate in plant safety activities Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area Regular Attendance on site Filing including confidential and non-confidential information (regulatory permits, etc) with discretion. All other duties as assigned or needed SKILLS AND ABILITIES The employee should hold the following abilities: Able to think under pressure, make quick decisions, be able to solve problems, and act as a decision maker. Ability to work well in a team or alone Must have excellent problem solving skills and be able to multitask, and work alone as needed. Able to communicate in a professional manner Able to understand and communicate in English Attention to detail Excellent organizational skills COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES The employee must be able to: Operate a computer or other keyboard instrument (SAP, Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience) EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee must have the following: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent Experience: 2-3 years experience in an inventory control, office clerical position in a manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
