mobile HVAC units and components for heavy-duty commercial and
military vehicles, is currently recruiting for a Manufacturing
Engineer in our Tukwila, Washington facility.
Manufacturing Engineering Manager
FLSA Status: Exempt
Summary Description: Assists to develop and improve manufacturing
methods, processes and procedures designed to reduce waste, improve
productivity and enhance product quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
To improve product flow and manufacturing efficiency by the
implementation of Tooling, Manufacturing aids and capital equipment
against time and cost targets.
To create and update a key project list of work in line with the
agreed expectation of their line supervisor.
To support all lean activities and Kaizen events.
To liaise with design engineering on all aspects of new product
introduction and manufacturing capability.
To prepare and present metrics of project benefits and the ongoing
sustaining tools they are measured by.
To support APQP process of New Products.
Perform initial manufacturing of new & revised products.
Other duties as assigned
Act as an ambassador and project a good company image at all times
maintaining a positive, solution-oriented approach.
Is knowledgeable of company policies and quality procedures.
Ensures all areas are maintained in accordance with company policy,
state, federal and regulating entities.
Is aware of and actively supports the achievement of departmental
goals. Implement new company initiatives as assigned.
Provide internal and on-site customer support and problem solving
as a work product/services expert. Make recommendations to
management regarding solutions.
Able to work effectively both individually and in a team with
minimal supervision; able to make decisions using own initiative
based on company policy and regulating entities. Give regular
updates to direct supervisor regarding progress and non-routine
occurrences that may disrupt work schedule.
Ensure knowledge of the appropriate safety, security and
environmental revisions. Handle relevant equipment with care, being
concerned with safety and security. Immediately report safety
concerns to Supervisor/Lead.
Ensure a professional appearance, use professional verbiage and
maintain appropriate body language.
Ability to manage multiple and varied tasks in a fast-paced,
high-volume regulated environment applying strong attention to

Level Requirements (Minimum):
A BS degree in an engineering discipline appropriate to
manufacturing and assembly. 4-5 years Red Dot experience may
2-5 year's experience in a manufacturing setting
Must be able to use PC data base, spread sheet and word processing
Must have knowledge of materials, fabrication processes, production
methods and quality standards.
Lean Manufacturing, 5S, metal fabrication, brazing, welding, and
hands-on machine shop experience is highly desirable
Ability to clearly communicate with associates and customers, as
well as make presentations to Management.
Ability to solve technical problems relative to manufacturing
Ability to use hand and basic power tools

Sufficient manual dexterity and motor control to use common
drafting implements and calculators.
