ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSOCIATE Accounting Principals has a client in Memphis, TN that is looking for a REMOTE Accounts Payable Associate. This is a contract position with a possibility to extend. Candidate needs to be local because return to office is likely in early 2022. The ideal Accounts Payable Associate will have Accounts Payable experience, Intermediate level with Excel and be able to perform other duties assigned. Job Description: -- Assists the accounts payable team with basic tasks related to the efficient maintenance and processing of accounts payable transactions. -- Performs activities under moderate supervision. Key Responsibilities: -- Processes invoice administration and set up for payment. -- Prepares and processes accounts payable checks, wire transfers and payments. -- Answers basic vendor inquiries and reconciles vendor statements. -- Prepares analysis of accounts. -- Resolves basic invoice discrepancies. -- Assists in month end closing. -- Participates in projects related to Accounts Payable improvement. -- Performs other duties as assigned. -- Proactive research skills (will need to research/match invoice numbers) -- Strong communication skills -- Intermediate understanding of basic computer navigation -- Excel understanding required -- Prior AP experience is preferred. -- Willingness to learn Hours: Monday - Friday (flexible) 6/7AM - 5/6PM. 8 hours a day.
