Job Description:

TSR has a Mechanical Piping Designer position available with one of the largest EPC firms in the country. This is a long-term contract position in Memphis, TN. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform the necessary fieldwork, pulling measurements, locating tie-ins, as-building existing systems, etc. develop detailed scopes.
• Work from P&ID's, client specifications and vendor data to design complex piping systems for chemical facility.
• Create isometrics, pipe supports
• Ensures that completed design is functional, maintainable and designed with safety and that all applicable codes have been followed
• Interface with other disciplines QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
  • AutoCAD and AutoCAD Plant 3D
  • The ability to read and interpret P&ID's
  • Working knowledge of piping design
  • Working knowledge of sanitary piping design
  • Working knowledge of pipe supports and steel structures
  • Working knowledge of conveyors and spouting
  • Basic civil knowledge
  • Ability to generate detailed, bid quality AutoCAD drawings and isometrics
  • Self-starter and worker
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
