Job Description:

Pay Rate:$

2nd Shift, 11am-7pm, M-F w some overtime available

IF CONVERTED, THEY WILL GO TO A 2-2-3 SCHEDULE AS OUTLINED BELOW.

2 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 on the next week the schedule will be reversed for 3 days off.

Two weeks on the month they will be off Saturday, Sunday and Monday.
Two weeks on the month they will work Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

-Recycles materials as needed.
-Operate sit down forklift.
-Re-piles, re-labels and/or restacks finished goods.
-Checks packaging quality and removes packaging that does not meet the company's standard.
-Operates material handling equipment as required. Performs operator inspection of fork lift on each shift; checks fluid levels and various forklift component systems for malfunctions. Completes daily vehicle inspection forms.
Notifies appropriate personnel of any equipment or quality problems and takes corrective action within the scope of the job.
-Participates in the safety, continuous improvement, communication process, and good housekeeping programs as established within the plant.
-Performs other related duties consistent with the nature of the job as directed by supervision.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

The employee should hold the following abilities:

-Understand the plant safety guidelines and pass all required safety training.
-Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
-Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
-Must be able to understand verbal and written instructions.
-Must have the ability to do basic mathematical calculations such as to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
-Must be able to conduct simple mechanical tests.
-Must have the ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
-Must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
-Must be able to secure and maintain forklift driver's license, which requires a valid motor vehicle driver's license.
-Must be able to work independently.
-Must work well in team environment.
-Must possess strong communication and organizational skills.
-Must have strong internal and external customer service skills.
-Must have the ability to multi-task.
-COMPUTER AND SOFTWARE COMPENTENCIES

The employee must be able to:

Learn how to operate the forklift on-board computer system

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

The employee should possess the ability to:

-Exposure to temperature extremes
-Exposure to sounds or noise levels that maybe uncomfortable
-Prolonged sitting or standing for 8-hour shifts (and/or rotating shifts)
Handle, control or feel objects, tools, or controls
Lifting/carrying/moving up to 50 pounds
Regular attendance on site and the ability to work varying or rotating shifts
Participates in the Safety and good housekeeping programs as established within the Plant
