Job Title: Tower Foreman - Tiger Team FLSA Status: HourlyStatus:
Full Time Reports To: Construction Manager/ Project
ManagerSummaryCMS Wireless's Tower Foreman is responsible for
leading efforts in the erection, construction, and maintenance of
communication tower sites. This role provides support to the
Foreman/Construction Manager and Project Manager in the supervision
of all tower crew personnel. Ensuring all OSHA requirements and
company safety procedures are followed. Key Responsibilities
Lead work on tower top, looking after
all aspects of work while on the tower, ensuring that a safe and
quality installation has been performed, including rigging,
hoisting, landing, fastening, load-hopping, etc.Installation of
up-top equipment including masts, clamping, bracing, supports,
antennas, RRUs, cabling, bolting, true-ing up, shooting proper
azimuth within tolerances, reading maps and a compass, torqueing to
spec, labeling, picture-taking, documentation, plumb and tilt
readings with smart level, etc. Assist with integrating all
closeout requirements are an absolute must.Perform coax, fiber,
line, and hybrid cable installations, connector installation, sweep
and test assisting, weather proofing, color-coding, labeling, etc.
connect coax feedlines and jumpers per piping diagrams, and support
and fasten adequately for a quality, lasting installation.Complete
grounding, terminations, fastening, proper bolting and antioxidant
use, support of leads, cadwelding as required, etc.Assist with
overall tasks required to build and install a site per customer
specs, maintain safe work environment, daily use and completion of
Jobsite Hazard Assessment (JHA) forms, assisting with overall crew
work, maintenance of vehicles and equipment, etc. Ensure highest
level of safety and quality control requirements are upheld and
mentor less experienced crew members in safety awarenessAble to
photograph work related tasks as needed for close out
packagesAssist in the coordination, preparation, and cleaning of
job sitesHelp lead the efforts in the assembly of monopole,
self-support guyed towers and roof topsAssist in the antenna
installation of microwave parabolic 1 to 15ft, VHF, UHF, cellular
and FM broadcast antennas is requiredLead the transmission line and
installationMust be willing to continue to work towards training
and certifications for tower related workMust know how to read and
understand drawings, piping diagrams, job specifications, mounting
specs, testing procedures, etc. Able to lead safety meeting as
requiredResponsible for tool inventory and daily upkeep of the job
siteOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands
Must be able to climb and perform
work at various heights, up to 500 feet, for long periods of time
and multiple timesMust be in good physical condition with the
ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat and
lift 50 pounds; includes body weight, equipment, tools and
boxesMust be able to pull his/her own body weight plus equipment
weight up a vertical tower repeatedly for long periods of timeMust
be willing to travel out of market/state for up to several weeks at
a time (50-90%)Must pass pre-employment screening that includes
background and drug testing; participate in random testing
programMay be required to work long and unpredictable hoursPosition
requires working outdoors in all types of weatherMust possess valid
driver's license and are required to drive company vehicles. A
commercial driver's license (CDL) is a plus Minimum Qualifications
Ability to operate aerial lifts, man
lifts, skid steers and aerial platform equipmentSuccessful
completion of Safety in Rigging/Competent Rigger coursework
requiredCompletion of Industrial First Aid and Rescue TrainingOSHA
10hr Training Certification/OSHA 30hr preferred RF Awareness
CertificationAbility to troubleshoot and correct mechanical or LV

in support of ForemanSupervisory RequirementsThis position will
directly supervise up to 2 tower crew personnel.Position Type and
Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position with a typical
schedule of Monday - Friday, 7:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with overtime
requirements.Travel Light travel is required for this position.
Usually between 0 to 50% of the time.Required Education and
ExperienceHigh school diploma or General Education Degree (GED);
related trade school education preferredThree years' experience in
