Description A self-starting, detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk (A/R) might be interested in this job opening. This is a long-term contract / contract / temporary Accounts Receivable Clerk position and is based in the Memphis, Tennessee area. Entering, posting, and reconciling batches, researching and resolving customer A/R issues, preparing aging report, placing billing and collection calls, maintaining cash receipts journal, updating, and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L will be among the Accounts Receivable Clerk's duties. This position is for candidates who are looking for career growth potential, and who are capable of processing 200+ invoices per week.
Responsibilities

• 
  
• 
  Locate delinquent customer accounts through various means, e.g. skip-tracing, phone contact, written correspondence, and make arrangements for payment
  
  
• 
  Offer information to shippers, customers, the sales/marketing department and other stakeholders
  
  
• 
  Contact clients to help resolve payment issues; assist in setting up payment plans
  
  
• 
  Execute a range of foundational accounting tasks in agreement with normal procedures, including general accounting tasks
  
  
• 
  Represent and exude the values, culture, and mission of the organization
  
  
• 
  Take care of payments and compile segments of monthly closings and annual reports in compliance with GAAP
  
  
• 
  Test documents and codes
  
  
• 
  Square bank accounts, posting and balancing financial data in diverse ledgers Requirements - Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills
  
  
• 
  2+ years of relevant experience in accounts receivable
  
  
• 
  Experience with ERP systems
  
  
• 
  AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting or related field
  
  
• 
  Established analytical skills in basic accounts receivable and accounting policy
  
  
• 
  Proficiency in QuickBooks
  
  
• 
  Solid understanding of Accounts Receivable (AR)
  
  
• 
  Collection Processes experience preferred
  
  
• 
  Be detailed, flexible, and organized
