Job Description Weigher/Grader - Memphis, TNPosition Responsibilities:Assists in all areas of the loading, unloading and transferring of grain and grain products for truck, barge, rail (location specific) and inspects barges, trucks and railcars before loading.
Proficient in all facets of ADM's safety programs and culture, has a strong working knowledge of safety procedures and environmental regulations, demonstrates safe working practices, has the ability to perform Safe Work Permit's and recognize near misses
Perform housekeeping and cleaning dutiesAbility to learn operation of the HMI operator stationAbility to direct others for efficient truck dumping operationsAbility to track and log all alarms, downtime, non-functioning equipmentScale in and out all trucks to facilityGrade quality of all inbound and outbound commoditiesTrain as required for mycotoxin testingTrain as required for grain grading General office duties (i.e. - answer phones, file paperwork, data entry).Comply with regulatory requirements and customer audits including CFIA, HACCP, AIB and others.
Conduct laboratory tests on raw materials, in process and finished products using wet chemistry and analytical instruments. Standardizing lab equipment.
Follow and demonstrate all Quality and Food Safety programs, including: GMPs, Pest Control, HACCP, SOPs, Good Laboratory Practices, and the Food Security program.
Provide accurate reports to departments and customers in a timely manner.
Maintain a clean, orderly and safe workplace.
Record all analysis on appropriate log sheets
Replenish chemical solutions as needed.
Monitor and report on laboratory inventories.Conduct lab equipment calibrations.
Train new lab technicians/operators in performing required analysis.
Must properly setup and operate laboratory equipment effectively.
General Requirements:Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures , as well as a commitment to uphold the ADM Code of Conduct.Required to work any shift, overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed. The shift may include 8 to 12 hours shifts on a rotational schedule.Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to: prolonged periods of standing and sitting, working in confined spaces and from heights, bending, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders, working in a variety of conditions (heat, cold, dust, etc.), move up to 50 pounds, as well as the ability to wear a respirator.Colleague will be expected to show an ability to learn functions outside of the production specialist to help fill for temporary or permanent vacancies in other roles.Perform any other job or task that assist with operations or the overall efficiency of the day to day workings of the facility.Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in team setting when needed.Exhibit a professional image; maintain respectful attitude.Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.Ability to work safely and follow policies and proceduresAttend safety training as requiredAbility to effectively communication with all members of team Must exhibit organization skills.Computer skills are a must; previous experience with data entry using Microsoft Word & Excel is preferred.Previous experience with office equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.ADM reserves the right to change, modify, eliminate or reassign job duties as needed at any time in the opinion of management.Qualifications:To be considered for an opportunity, candidates must meet the following criteria:Commitment to ADM's goal of achieving a zero-injury culture; understand and follow company safety procedures High school education or equivalent.Exhibit regular and prompt attendance.Involved in designed area daily clean up.Must exhibit organization skills.Excellent communication skills.Able to meet physical requirements of the position including, but not limited to prolonged periods of standing and sitting, prolonged periods of using a telephone, bending, kneeling, lift storage boxes.Willing to work overtime and weekends.Demonstrate initiative to work independently while flexible enough to work in a team setting.Exhibit a professional image at all times; maintain a positive and respectful attitude.Computer skills are a must; previous experience with data entry using Microsoft Word & Excel is preferred.Previous experience with office equipment such as copier, fax machine, etc.Candidates are required to provide their own means of transportation.ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
