Full-time 3rd Shift - Part-time - and PRN positions available.
Purpose of the Direct Support Professional: The primary purpose of
the Direct Support Professional is to support individuals with
intellectual and developmental disabilities who need support to
lead a safe, self-directed life to participate fully in their
communities. To assist individuals with intellectual disabilities
(mild to severe) in leading a self-directed life and contribute to
the community. To aid in assisting with activities of daily living
if needed, and encourage attitudes and behaviors that enhance
community inclusion. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you,
will provide support at home, work, and other community places.
Direct Support Professional Skills: The job of a Direct Support
Professional (DSP) is a very significant one. It is important to
have compassion, creativity, and integrity when supporting our
individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. A DSP
will assist a person, with developmental disabilities, to have a
meaningful, safe and self-directed life, skills are needed which
include the following but are not limited to: provide quality care
of individuals in their home ensure supports and services are
person-centered provide breakfast | lunch | dinner dietary options
for individuals daily promote physical health and emotional
well-being provide responsible and accountable financial management
maintain confidentiality drive individual to doctor's appointments,
school, work, and community based activities support individual to
form new relationships maintain existing relationships document
daily reports electronically Capitol City Residential Healthcare is
currently seeking Direct Support Staff for the following shifts:
Full Time: Monday-Friday 8am-4pm | 4pm-12pm | 12pm-8am and every
other weekend 8am-8pm | 8pm-8am Part Time: Saturday & Sunday
8am-8pm | 8pm-8am or as scheduled PRN: TBD offered by management
